Picking a color palette is a daunting task for some.

Sometimes I work with people who know exactly what colors they want, which is helpful, but other times I work with customers who are indecisive and confused about what colors to use. That’s ok, too.

Below are some online resources that can help you find a color palette that works well as inspiration for your web design project.

How To: Pick Colors for Your Web Design Project

Design-Seeds.com

ColourLovers.com

StudioPress Color Palette Gallery

The Frilly Coconut Palettes for Design Pinterest Board

Recommendations from The Frilly Coconut:

Tweak It - If you find a color palette that you like, be willing to accept the fact that you’ll have to tweak it. I’ve never found a color palette and used it exactly as-is. Once you start putting elements together, you may find that you’ll have to make small changes here or there.

Message - Just like you’re sending a message with your website content, you’re also sending a message with your palette. Make sure that your message is streamline and collectively represents your brand.

Many of my clients have requested a mobile friendly view for their blogs.

Luckily, for them and everyone else, there is a plugin for those operating on the WordPress platform!

*Licks finger, draws mid-air line – one more point for WordPress!*

How To: Make Your WordPress Blog Mobile Friendly

Install and activate the WPtouch Plugin on your WordPress blog.

Screenshot of blog from computer:

Screenshot of blog from mobile device:

Recommendations from The Frilly Coconut:

Check the Settings & View - Just like many plugins, this one offers various settings that you can alter and customize. You should make sure they’re set to your preferences and that you check the mobile view to be sure it’s functioning properly.

Quick Fix - This plugin is best described as a quick fix for mobile friendly viewing. If you’re looking for something more, you might contact your designer and ask what the options are.
